United Methodist Women

An extremely active organization within the life of our church, the United Methodist Women serve the Marion Rotary Club with a meal every Thursday, have regular circle meetings, and support missions and ministries within this church, our community and the United Methodist Church.

Disciple Bible Study

Disciple Bible Study is an intensive Bible study program that aims for "transformation" as well as "information." First United Methodist Church has offered all four Disciple courses and in 2006-2007 will be offering "Christian Believer," a 30-week study of basic Christian doctrine.

Children's Ministries

First United Methodist Church has a vibrant Children's Ministry! Sunday morning worship includes a children's message and Children's Church. On Wednesdays during the school year, we host FRIENDS, an after-school program that is full of fun and learning. We also offer monthly activities for children from Kindergarten through grade 5.

Family Ministries

Nothing is more important than having opportunity for families to come together as a church. We offer periodical family events, open to the whole church family, for fun and fellowship. We've had Halloween skating parties and trips to the St. Louis Zoo. Check the Calendar link for future activities.

Parish Nursing

First United Methodist Church has recently started a Health Ministry Team, offering guidance, direction, and support on the wellness of the whole person -- mind, body, and spirit.

Youth Ministries

Synago, youth group, trips, retreats ... join in the fun! On Sunday Evenings we have two youth group meetings: Junior High Youth at 4:00 pm and Senior High Youth at 6:30 pm.

"Love Bear" Ministry

A collection of Teddy Bears sits in church each Sunday. Members are invited to "share a bear" with someone who may need comfort or encouragement.
